Winter at the Edgewater:

Reputed for its crisp fresh air, visitors often comment on its “Christmas Card” appearance.  With snow conditions (most years) allowing for all forms of recreation by early December and a season that usually stretches thru till easter, locals and visitors alike partake in the many activities our climate affords.From “Snowfest” a winter carnival complete with activites ranging from snowgolf to “sledders” poker runs to solitary Ice fishing The area is truly a winter wonderland  

 SNOWMOBILING: The Tri Town Travelers, a dedicated group of snow machine enthusiasts, maintains some 129 kms of Top trails and another 186 kms of local trails. With our central location, trips to places like North Bay, Sudbury, Timmins and Cochrane are only a scenic one day ride from the Edgewater. Start your day by jumping on the sled right outside your motel door and heading for the lake trail.

 SKIING: The area is ideal for both cross country and downhill skiing and our weather assures an early start to the season and skiing continuing past Easter. The TRI TOWN SKI VILLAGE offers excellent downhill facilities, while the TEMISKAMING NORDIC ski club provides world class groomed trails for beginner thru expert cross country skiers. Both facilities offer private or group lessons.
